Think positive.  It’s hot. The frog will be tucked up somewhere cool and shady.

I am really annoyed by plants that don't perform like the picture on the packet.  I bought some begonias.  Meant to be white edged with pink.  They are (very) red.  Only four out of six actually grew into plants - two corms just sullenly refused to show so much as a leaf.
Last year I bought some gladiolus that were meant to be white with pink splashes.  (You may get the picture that I rather favour pink shades).  They were orange.

Geums that don't grow or flower. I bought half a dozen fairly expensive named varieties (all orange) last year, I think only two survived and they are only a couple of leaves.
Anything that slugs love or doesn't want to grow in my garden!

They do need a lot of water @Lizzie27. I found one a few weeks ago that was lurking behind another plant and wasn't getting much water.. It was bone dry and just hanging on. I moved it and kept it watered. There's lots of leaves now.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

My climbing beans just don’t want to go up their canes. They seem to go anywhere other than where they are supposed to.

I'm quite impressed by any seed that comes to faintly resemble the colour on the packet. I take it all with a a tablespoon of salt, unless I have grown them before.
