Calling Nepeta Six Hills Giant growers

I have just bought some small plants of Nepeta Six Hills Giant. Please can anybody comment on how much it 'replicates'.

I ask because there is a catmint growing behind my back fence that spreads profusely all through my garden and comes up in a number of places I would prefer it didn't. 

I like catmint - depending on your response I will either plants the Six Hills in the garden or in pots.

    Mine is in the ground and doesn't spread. Lovely spray of flowers that the bees love.  I cut it back hard once the flowers have died for a second flush of flowers

    Same as WonkyWomble. Had my Six Hills Giants (multiple plants) 8 years and never found them elsewhere. Calaminta nepeta does pop up in various places but it's such a dainty plant I don't mind.

    I’ve got lots of clumps and they don’t spread. I love it trailing down from raised beds. And it’s lovely as a cut flower.

    Mine doesn't spread either - are you sure your spreader is a catmint? Can we have a photo please?

    My little plug plants grew to the size of small circular trays and when in flower as the stalks attractively flop outwards it is the size of a large tray. In full flower I have dug them up and transplanted them without difficulty. Water them well and trim the leaves right back just before moving day.
