Leaf cutter bee des res

My husband had just built a large pergola on our terrace and is enclosing two sides with trellis. Then he calls me out to see a leaf cutter bee moving into one of the drill holes. We have bee hotels and various size holes in wood around the garden which were never used but apparently this is a bee des res lol.

That's fantastic! I have a wildlife garden and found it have them too.  It's an excuse to have a messy bit in the garden. I stack  twigs and straw etc in nooks for them to set up homes in.
