    Hello Michelle  :)
Glad you came back to tell us how it went, l was getting worried thinking you'd injured yourself or something.
Also glad the forum was able to help.
Good luck with the rest of it !

It is lovely when folk come back and let us know how things turn out isn’t it @AnniD 😊

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • No injuries to report at all.😂 I’m just so delighted that I have managed to get it sorted. But I definitely wouldn’t have managed it without you all genuinely: I’m so grateful. Re the builder guy, it was my own fault really. I left out the money for him on the Tuesday morning as I’d to bring my aunt to hospital at short notice. He didn’t end up coming until the next morning though and I’d forgotten to bring in the money from the shed. In fairness he took up the decking like I asked, he just didn’t finish it like I had assumed he would: there were nails sticking out of the wall, the cable left and the ridge of concrete. It wasn’t really his fault because I hadn’t specified these things: I didn’t know that they would be an issue. It was annoying though that he did his bit, took the money and went off without saying a word: I was doing paperwork in the sitting room and it would have taken 2 seconds, even for courtesy sake. But all is well that ends well!
