Weird tomato stem

The stem on some of my tomatoes looks a bit dodgy, like something's been feeding on it. Could someone help me figure out what's going on here, please? Could it be aphids damage?
Tomatoes need repotting, will do this at the weekend. Would it be safe to bury the affected part of the stem?

Even the straight tomato(2nd pic) has some marks on its stem.

Anyone any ideas? Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Razvan

Damage from a beasty....probably a slug.  And yes you can bury tomato stems.  Can’t see full size of them, but looks a very small pot for a tomato so don’t forget to repot!
  • Yeah, it does look like a slug mark actually. Plus fits in with some other things that I've noticed around the garden  Will act accordingly, thank you!
