My mum is a very keen gardener, she knows most about plants and flower but is struggling to name this plant. 

It is a single stem and about 7ft tall. 

It’s perennial but she can not remember the name. 

Can anyone give us the name of it please

    Maybe check it against Lobelia tupa ?

    It is Lobelia tupa, a beautiful plant.

    Beautiful and easy to grow from seed.

    Thank you for the info. Can they grow as big as 7ft
