Monstera black spots

Hi, a couple of my leaves on my newly bought monstera have this light black freckles on them, is this an infection? Singular black spots have started appearing on a few other leaves too. I’m new to this so any help is appreciated

I'm no houseplant expert, but spots can be caused by some sort of sucking bug on the underside of the leaves. Some bugs are very small, so have a careful look on the underside of the leaves with a magnifying glass if you have one.

That depends on what the bugs are.
Have a look and see if you can see anything.
Aphids are one possibility (which you will be able to see). Spider mites are another possibility (which you will need magnification to see), or maybe something else.
If it's not bugs, then we can try and think of what else it may be.

I had a thorough look at the plant leaves and stem and I cant see any insects or bugs on them. So maybe it isn't bugs?
