Pea varieties - recommendations for sweetness?

Hi all,

I've grown Kelvedon Wonder the last couple of years, and have realized that I just don't like the flavour - slightly floury, and not very sweet - what would you recommend for sweetness and flavour? I'm wondering about Alderman.

Hurst Greenshaft for me every time.

Edited to add:  But I don't have sugar in almost anything.

Herbaceous stole my thunder.  I was going to say HG too.  Alderman I found rather tasteless.

Ambassador, but I'm easily pleased (peased?)
  • ...just to follow up, I'm growing Alderman and Hurst Greenshaft this year - and enjoying them both so much more than kelvedon wonder, thank you for your thoughts.
