  • Where's the water actually from? If it's from in their house then they need to shut off their stopcock.

If it's not then what is the source?

  • Hi thank you the source is from my neighbours swimming pool in which they empty the water in their garden and the water goes to our garden .
  • I think a polite but firm word is needed. Can't they hook up a pipe or something that goes to their drain?

  • We already have a word with them but still doing it that is why so upsetting as 2 of our neighbours is doing it .Anything that we can do ? Or we need to put something to prevent the water from spreading ? Sometimes  early in the morning they emptied their swimming pool and our garden is the lowest of all of neighbouring garden .

The problem with water is that it will usually find an entrance somewhere,  you would need a good defence to keep it out.
If it's coming from a swimming pool l'm guessing it contains chemicals of some sort. Just how big is their pool and how often are they emptying it ?

    Are you  in the UK?
I'd be contacting the council. There are rules and regs regarding that sort of thing, and environmental health departments who would be able to offer advice and perhaps pay a visit.

If you’re in the USA this may be of interest ... it states that discharging water from pools across neighbouring property where it may cause flooding or erosion is illegal.

I suggest you contact your neighbourhood authorities.

I wondered if it might not be a UK resident @Dovefromabove

Not likely to be up here anyway - don't think too many folk have outdoor pools...  ;)

Hope there is an organisation which can help you @fides_bautista. Not acceptable if they're doing that  :/

It was the fact that the first post was made in the middle of the night ‘our time’ and then the photo showed daylight that made me think it might originate in the US @Fairygirl ... I may be wrong ... and the pic may have been from earlier. 😉

That was my thought too @Dovefromabove, although there are a few forumites who are up at that time!
