Can anyone identify this moth for me?

Beautiful moth seen flying around the garden today - here it is resting on a tomato plant leaf, but I've also seen it feeding off one of the lavender plants as well.

I'm not very good with moths this colour - they all tend to look undistinguishable from each other unless they're side by side.

Does anyone know what this is?

This is one of the easier moths to remember. The silver marking on the wing is a Y shape so it's called the silver-y moth. Once you've learned it you never forget

Thank you! I've looked this up - are they fairly common moths, do you know? There's loads about them online, but I've never seen one in the garden before, which I thought I might have done if they are fairly prevalent. Mind you, I could well have done, and just not known what moth it was.....! It's very welcome, anyway.
