Soo annoyed with myself!!! Lawn feed!
A couple of months ago I treated my lawn with a combined feeder/weed and moss killer, I didn't read the instructions properly and just sprinkled it by hand, and over did it and within 48 hour big patches of my lawn had turned black and died!
For the last two months I have been religiously caring for my lawn, I scarified all the dead material out, I've been watering it a few times a day during the dry weather, have added new grass seed to the bare patches and it was just starting to look good.
I have noticed there are loads of small weeds appearing, and the grass feeder/ weedkiller suggested treating it again after 6 weeks, so I thought I would try treating it again but this time follow the instructions.
this time I followed the wording on the packet to the letter. I measured out the amount of feed, I measured one meter sections of my garden and carefully spread it out. the crass was dry but the soil was damp as it said on the instructions and I watered it afterwards.
I came down this morning to find that there are black patches of dead grass(not moss)
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr never again! I feel like crying. PS I don't have a question just venting my frustration!!

If it had been used correctly the first time, it wouldn't have been a problem, however - you've also used it after sowing new grass seed so the product has then killed the new grass off. After sowing seed it's only water that should be applied.
Watering several times a day is a bad idea too. Watering thoroughly - for a couple of hours, then leaving for a few days is far better. If you keep watering a little, the roots never get a chance to get further down and establish properly because you're only dampening the surface and encouraging roots to stay there. That makes them more vulnerable to drought.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

It should eventually settle down, but stay away from the packet !
