Caterpillar/ butterfly ID?

Hi, these caterpillars are munching my neighbours beech hedge, there are so many you can hear them chewing! It's pretty amazing. Any ideas what type butterfly they'll become? Thanks

I’m not an expert, so don’t quote me, but I think they’re Gypsy Moths.
Carmarthenshire (mild, wet, windy). Loam over shale, very slightly sloping, so free draining. Mildly acidic or neutral.
