Golden Irish Yew - bits turning brown, but otherwise very healthy

Noticing a few patches of brown ‘leaves’ on my Golden Irish Yew (Taxus Buccata Fastigiata Aurea). Is this perfectly normal
or is something going wrong? Overall, it is very healthy looking, with lots of new growth. It’s been in the ground for 3 years, I have sandy loam soil.  When I planted, it was watered well for the first year, I’ve not done anymore consistent watering other than a once in a while good soaking due to the lack of rain since end of March. I’ve not fed either but I have some Miracle Gro slow release which I can sprinkle around.  Here are a few pics so you can see what I mean...

It's evergreen but even those will have some leaves that die off and fall at the end of their lifespan.   yew is also well known for regenerating itself so just snip out those sprigs at their base.

Make sure your yew has adequate water in hot and dry periods as stress will weaken it.

Monty had this problem tonight on GW on his yew topiary of Nigel; he said it was caused by late frost on sunny mornings and nothing to worry about.
