All cherries are edible but most just won't taste very nice. They won't poison you, although if they taste bitter and you insist on swallowing them, it wouldn't be surprising if a stomach upset comes visiting.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
They look like eating cherries. If they taste nice and are sweet, they're good to eat. If they're very sour or bitter you shouldn't eat them, but you wouldn't want to anyway. But you won't drop dead from having an exploratory nibble.
