Then put some wind netting around them, or put a short cane in and tie the stem in gently so it doesn’t get blown about.

Had to cane and tie one of mine today as its windy.

At this time of year if you know someone who has an allotment then there is a fair chance someone will be looking to get rid of a couple of plants.
The two most common sounds on out site is
"Anyone want a courgette plant as i have started too many again !"
and
"Anyone want a lettuce !"
Everyone is just trying to be Happy.....So lets help Them.
