Can I help to rescue this plant please?

Hi there
I have this Dianthus which I thought had died but I nursed it a bit and it has recovered. It is a bit straggly and trying to escape the pot. What is the best thing to do with it now please? Can I repot, stake, bury it a bit or something to help it?
TIA for any advice
Bob

Might be worth taking cuttings from it, you have quite a few shoots there

I don't think there's a lot you can do. If it was mine I'd take cuttings from the none flowering shoots and start again. They aren't difficult to do.
The other plant in the pot is a mint just incase you didn't know.

You have several non flowering shoots so I would use them to make cuttings.  I'm a bit thick when it comes to putting the website on here but if you Google dianthus cuttings UK then use the Gardener's world site there are good instructions. You would end up with several new plants which would be more productive than trying to rescue the plant as it is. After a while they do get like this and I find that propagating new ones the best option.

Thank you. I found the mint growing through the fence from next door. Thinking it a weed I cut it off and then when I smelled it was mint I poked it into the soil in that pot hoping it would take 😀

Joy thank you that’s brilliant. I will investigate that. You are both right, I should use it to generate new plants so I will investigate that as soon as I have time
Thank you both so much for taking the time to help me. I appreciate it very much 👍😀
