Picking off Cucumbers

First time growing cucumbers and not really sure how you tell when ready to harvest.  They are getting big and starting to lose it's spiky feeling.

    They look like they might be Marketmore Nora?  I pick mine when they are anything from 8" to 1' (just a minute, that's 20-30cms) depending whether I am eating them raw or cooking them.

    I would say the top one is good to go and maybe wait a week for the lower one. Nice plant though  :)

    Pick them at that size even if you don't need them, so that they don't start to ripen (turn yellow) or the plant may stop flowering. ;)
