Any idea what this unruly specimen is? Sedge like with the furry bits recently sprouting out

    Can't recall the name offhand, but it's come from birdfood seed .Think it's a type of carex and is best taken out ASAP,  it can prove quite difficult to dig out if you leave it too long  :)
