Angel's wings plant

All of a sudden my plant is being eaten/ attacked by something.  Cant see any slug trails. Any ideas?

    Welcome to the forum  :)
The lower leaves look like they've suffered some kind of leaf miner damage.
  • Cant understand it they've been outside since March without any damage then this week all this. Strange!

Mine sometimes suffer the same sort of damage. I avoid chemicals where I can and think that this type of foliage isn't suitable for chemical sprays in any case. I just live with it. Mine are so rampant that any damage isn't visible for long. They live outside all year. I grew these from leaves which were broken off accidentally and put into a glass of water so that they were decorative. Roots ultimately filled the glass and they were then potted up. This is what each leaf became!
  • Wow! I'll put the damaged leaves in some water and see if I can get some more. I love them and mines grown so quickly. Thank you

Got mine three years ago, and took side shoot cuttings which all rooted, they survived the first winter in the GH, then in the spring they started dying off one by one including the original one, ended up with just one.

All had rotted at the base even though they were not over watered or watered logged.

Last season I ended up with three medium sized ones, this spring two kicked the bucket right away, now I have one left which has not put on a lot of growth, so I shall try the leaf method of propagation to see I  can increase them quickly!

Lovely plants but for me impossible to keep.

Ps last year a Blue Diamond garden centre had some large ones for sale £44.49.

    Cheers!

    .
That is slug or snail damage, I had the same problem but I caught the blighters, went out with a torch at night, they love soft foilage!

    Cheers again!
  • Thanks for your input, much appreciated. I would like to save it if possible as it has strong sentimental attachment.....dam slugs!!

Apart from the year I bought my first plant which I kept indoors all winter because I felt sorry for it and didn't think that it would cope with cold and wet, mine stay out all year. They are far too big to even think about putting them indoors and I do have a large potting shed! Perhaps Braidman, they don't like the change in temperature?
