Beetles on Potatoes

Hi All,

I’ve started growing potatoes for the first time. All looks good, mounded up every few weeks and the plants look healthy.

Today I noticed these (see pictures) beetles on the plants. No noticeable damage as yet. Any ideas what they are?

Hi Scott, the picture is a bit blurry but they might be immature shield bugs.  Not that I am in any way an expert on bugs  :)

They are second instar nymphs of the Common Green Shieldbug they shouldn't cause any noticeable damage

Technically they're bugs not beetles. Hard to tell much from the photos sorry but they're likely to be these. They won't do any notable harm so don't worry about them.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
