Garden tips

I have a small garden area out of the front of my house, that gets very over run with weeds. I have dug them out and want to add some ornate white pebbles to the area.
I am planning to lay a weed barrier, but w.can you give me any advise as to what I put under and over the barrier. Also what can I use to level the area out, as I have dug a fair way down to get the weeds out, before laying the white stones.

    Hi asohun. I’m going to assume that it’s just the soil below the barrier, assuming you mean a weed membrane? As for levelling the soil it, you could use a rake. To make sure it’s really level get two small stakes and some string and have one stake one end and the other stake the other end of the border and make the strong taught. Use a spirit level on the string (as best you can) then you can rake the soil to that :)
