Amistad is very easy from cuttings so you could increase your numbers for little expense.
Allium sphaerocephalum is a  nice summer flowering garlic with reddish purple heads. Though not as large as some, it is one of the cheapest, so you can afford to have lots :)

Thanks for all the suggestions. Love the look of the Sanguisorba’s and fit well with the colour scheme so might give those a look

Some of the slower growing Phormiums would work, such as Evening Glow.  We have Libertia Grandiflora in our grass border, brings some nice evergreen structure.  If it's damp enough you could have Thalictrums.  Veronicastrum would also look good.

If you want a lower-growing dark purple salvia that will spread around and fill space, try Nachtvlinder. It suckers and spreads from below the ground, unlike most of the dozen or so other salvias that I have. This year I treated it like a perennial rather than like a shrub and cut it back almost to the ground, and it is back and full of flower at about 12-18 inches high.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

    Thank you. Some great ideas

Thanks Jenny. I think I have a couple of these in another area from memory (in the pot behind the lavender. Apologies my photos seem to pop out sideways)

Looks great after one year in, Alliums will fit right in. Yeah second year in here and the garden is a mission, getting there slowly. Hoping the Verbena perk up a little with some more sunshine!

Looks great already! I like the naturalistic look of yours, really great.
