Banana Seeds

I started some banana seeds in January this year 
How much longer i ask myself
They have been in a propagator inside a conservatory ( which has been very hot recently )
No sign of anything yet
Am i wasting my time ?

    6 months is a bit long for no-show. Where did you get the seeds from and was there any indication of variety?

    Still no show after 7 months, Might just throw them out this weekend
