How high is your trellis?

Hoping for some advice please.

We've installed some rebar at the back of the raised bed. Currently about 200 cm high (150 cm above the raised bed) and cutting the views a little more than I hoped.

Considering cutting 50 cm off the top, leaving 100 cm . None of the peas, beans and courgettes I'm putting in, grow more than this.

My question is -.is there anything you grow which needs more than 100 cm?

Many thanks

Runner beans will easily grow 3m or more. Lots of other climbing beans will do the same. I have had courgettes which produced shoots at least 2m long, I just couldn't persuade them to stay vertical. My broad beans are currently about chest height which is definately more than 1m high :)

Any climbing beans will get over 1m, tomatoes, cucumbers, tall peas, dill... many things but if all you are growing is dwarf beans, short peas and bush courgettes then you will be fine, can you push them in another 50cm? that way if you grow something taller next year you won't need new poles.
