My garden transformation is not complete yet. It has been hard work with whole days of digging stones out of the soil, but it’s been worth it. All the stones I’ve used for the paths and edging are from the soil.
Yes please @Pauline 7 some recent photos. Mine too has grown considerably since last pics. @koyukano you have made such a difference and I'm sure your children enjoy the vege garden. @Matt_ the garden will improve as you get to understand it. It's fun!
Valley Gardner what a transformation , ours was the same had the Leylandis took down (80 foot Scots Pine) that let the light in and its tiered with fab views of the valley. Kept a lovely Laburnum tree half way up boy don't the Bees love it, it's gone over now. it's colourful, has paths up to the top where OH put our decking on top of the world as they say here and stunning views !
Thanks to everybody for sharing. I love seeing garden improvements - some of them are pretty drastic changes! I'm so glad that in the last three months of lockdown, and the many more weeks to come, that I've had the garden to escape into. A Godsend in times like these.
My garden was improved in the Spring of 2017 so here is a series of paired photos, the first taken in winter 2016/17 and the second just a few minutes ago - hence the rather wet look as it has rained a lot in the past 24 hours.
You would only notice if you tumbled into it but there is a pond in front of the pampas grass
The shrub on the left is the wedding cake tree. To the right of the red dogwood stems are the two parallel trunks of the magnolia. Disappearing off screen on the right is the sloping trunk of a crab apple.
