Vine Weevil

I treated my containers just over a week ago with nematodes.  I've just checked them now and there are still lots of eggs but no grubs.  Does this mean the nematodes have worked?
Also, I bought some plants yesterday from a reputable garden centre, these also look to have the eggs in the compost (they were squishy).  I asked one of the staff and she said it was plant food?

Vine weevil eggs are too small to be seen with the naked eye. Slow release plant food is what they are.

Are you sure they're vine weevil eggs? They're really difficult to see. What you saw at the GC was probably Osmocote style slow release fertilisers

Thank you. Was just a bit worried that I'd loose more plants. Didn't realise that the eggs were that tiny.
