What's this please?

Growing in a pot that had a tomato seedling that got slugged. I thought at first it might be another welsh poppy, they self-seed everywhere but these leaves look shinier. It looks a lot more interesting than our usual weeds!

    Looks a bit like flat leaf parsley ... have you had any seeds about the place!

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    We've got all sorts of salad seeds about.
     I just tried a leaf and while I didnt have a parsley smell [though it is still quite small I guess] it was defo hot and peppery!

    Some of the delphinium family (eg larkspur) seedlings can look a bit like that.  Are the seed leaves still on it (can't tell in the photo.)
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    I dont think it's obvious in the pic but every leaf is on its own stalk coming straight out of the soil
