dying umbellifers

Why have all my umbellifer plants suddenly died. It starts with the growing tip browning, the leaves turn red and completely wilt. I've successfully sown and grown on Daucus, Ammi, Dill and coriander and all grew well until planted out in the ground. No other plants have suffered and the borders contain mixed plants.My thought is that it's a virus. Any advice most welcome. Thank you.
