Rose Identification & Care

I have inherited a rose in my front garden. I do not know what type it is nor how or when to prune it.
it is very leggy at the moment partly because it got battered in the recent winds. It seems to flower well but produces long trusses which need to be tied up. i require assistance in identifying it.

    Hello Jezzer  :)
I think your post got lost when the forum went down for a few days.
I'm wondering if it's not a shrub rose, but is a climber perhaps planted in the wrong place.
That is a guess, but we have several rose experts here such as @Marlorena ,who might be able to advise.

Thanks for the reply AnniD. Since the post I've been out to look at the rose more closely and noticed it is completely thornless. Having no knowledge of roses it struck me as a bit odd.
