Worm cast tea

Hello,been trying to make wormcastea I put casts in a nylon stocking and put in a bucket of water for 24 hours.but the water doesn't change colour,am I supposed to use hot water.

    It should go light brown. I wouldn't use hot water, it will kill the microbes that make it beneficial in the first place. Perhaps try a different sort of 'bag' old T-shirt?

    I don't drink tea of any kind, but your recipe doesn't sound any worse😉

    Even if I just put the worm casts in on there own the water doesn't change colour.

    Did what it said put a cup full in a bucket of water.got the worm casts from willy worms.

    Willy worms as used in fishing?  Wrong sort of worms.  Worm cast tea is made from the casts you see on lawns, which are made by Anecic earthworms.  Those eat dead leaves etc. which is why their casts contain valuable plant nutrients.

    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    So are these worm casts no good for plants.
