Climbing Rose

My sister has a Lax Bourbon climbing rose and it is flowering for the 2nd year but she is concerned that the stems are to heavy for the rose. Please can anyone help with how to resolve this situation, should it be cut right back again to strengthen the stems or what should be done.

It looks a lovely healthy rose with new growth. If it's a David Austin rose it does need 3 years. I have planted several but moved before the 3 years were  up and am only on year 2 in current garden so can't say if I'm right!
