Are these possibly sweet potato seedlings?

I was given some seeds by someone who did not know what they were, but thought they *might* be sweet potato seeds. I planted 5 of them and they now look like this. Are they sweet potatoes, and if so, is it too late to even try to plant them on?

    looks more like a tomato

    Definitely not sweet potato which are in the ipomoea family and have very different seed leaves.  Tomato would be my guess, too.
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
