Daffodils

I'm moving daffs that have died back to another location. Can I plant them where I want, even at this time of year or should I wait till later in the year? With the ground being very hard and dry, I don't want to plant them again if they might die due to the dry conditions.
Any advice appreciated.

    Water them before you dig them up. Water (copiously) the area where you’re going to plant them, water them when you plant them and again in a couple of days time. They’ll be fine. Just make sure you plant them plenty deep enough  👍

    I would store them and plant during the right time. Discard any that have gone soft.

    They'll be just as dry where they are as in the new place.  It won't matter, because they'll be dormant now, until they start growing in the spring.

    Yes - definitely get them back in the ground somewhere. They'll be nicely settled in for next year  :)
    I often move them at this time of year. I have some which have just finished, and they'll be getting relocated. Easier with the ground dampened, as @Dovefromabove says. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
