Sad looking Osteospermum...

Osteospermum planted last year, was fine all winter. Looked great at the beginning of the season but no its looking awfully sad... 

19th of May 
vs today😥

Any one know why? Can it be saved?

    It probably dried out. How deep is the soil under it?
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    I have watered it, but we've had a major heat wave here so its a possibility. Its in open ground!

    keep watering it, it should bounce back: they can take a bit of drying out - they originate from southern Africa after all!

    That was my thinking in regards to Africa which made me a bit stumped!

    Cuttings have a good success rate.  Why not take a few? to be on the safe side

    Do you put the cutting straight into the compost?
