Is this Cherry Leaf Curl disease? Newbie gardener!

Dear all, I’m new to gardening and have recently planted a Stella cherry tree on gisela dwarf rootstock. The tree was thriving for the first few months, with loads of leaves, but then all the lower leaves turned yellow and at least 50% have fallen off, although the yellowing/ leaf loss has slowed down a lot over the last week. The leaves seem curled inwards, (please see photos). I am trying hard not to overwater.
From these pictures, is this cherry leaf curl?
If so, how can I stop the tree from dying? It’s very disheartening and I want to save the tree if possible. Thank you very much

    Hi @helen_bosher  😊

Can we see the whole tree please?

How much have you been watering it?  The soil is very dry below the top couple of inches.

  • Here you go, it’s only a tiny tree. Thank you
  • Watering in the morning every other day, about 4 seconds with our hose to the root base
  • It lost at least 50% of the leaves, they turned yellow and fell very quickly, but it looked like it did have almost too many leaves before it got sick, if that makes sense?

Hello, I have a new cherry tree in pot, the leaves are curling, with one on or two yellow. Am I overwatering or undrwatering 🤷‍♀️

Tree in the ground needs far more water than 4 seconds with a hose and also the grass round it needs pulling up to allow it to get the water you do give it ,at the moment you are only watering the grass ,it’s competing with the tree for its water .Need more information about the potted tree .
