Does anyone know what these plants/weeds are?

I have these weeds/plants growing by the steam running through my garden, however I don’t know whether to cut them down or not.

    That's Lapsana communis (aka Nipplewort), a common weed/wildflower:

    i am new to garden so still getting my head around everything that is growing.

    I'm sorry to say but that looks like Japanese Knotweed.

    Agree - and some willowherb as well, into the bargain, in that last pic.

    At least that can just be pulled out...unlike the JK. :/
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
