Agapanthus with photos this time

Any thoughts please.

    Possibly Agapanthus gall midge.  It causes deformation of the stems and flowers but won’t kill the plant.  To my knowledge, there’s no treatment.

    it's not gall midge, that only hits the flowers.

    I'd not worry about it. I've got lots of Agapanthus and every now and again one throws up a wobbly one.

  • Thank you for that, shall google it,  hope you are wrong about no treatment though. 
  • Just googled it and saw photos on RHS site but I don't think that is the problem. The flower develops, the stem curls and splits, sometimes causing the flower to fall off.

    Are they in pots or in the ground?

    @Hostafan1 has hundreds of agapanthus ... I’ve seen them ... if he says it’s nothing to worry about I’d be inclined to believe him 😊 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
