Does anyone know what this is. It has grown to this size from about 12 inches in 7 years. It loses it leaves in the autumn and they grow back in the spring. The flowers come out around end of May into June. It seems to act much like an Acer in that regards. I am pretty sure that it was sold to me as an Acer Japonica but that may well be nonsense. It is a robust grower, both this one and one I had before survived pretty rough treatment. This one actually spent its first winter lying on the patio without even a pot. The previous one was cur back and moved several times and still kept on growing. I can't find one in my local garden centres. I ask so that I can know what it is but also because several people comment on it and want to get one.
