Help for Bees

My daughters friend is a bee keeper, and has told her of some new research results.
It seems that bees that have fed on Thyme flowers have healthier hives and suffer less from parasites.  So they are advocating gardeners that want to help bees to grow Thyme. 😁

Reminds me of an article from last year about similar benefits with Heather flowers.

For the past 2 years I've noticed just how much the bees love the small pot of thyme I have.

Some of my thymes are covered in flowers and bees right now (the others are sulking after being covered in toddlers last year :| ). It's mostly red-tailed bumblebees but I saw this bee getting stuck in yesterday and I've no idea what it is.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

My wife told me that some birds take lavender into their nests as it has some antimicrobial properties.
