    Depends on what you like really. Perennials which like the same conditions - Veronicas, Salvias, heleniums etc, are good with them, and so are lilies, but it also depends on how much room you have, and whether you want a long display. Grasses are good with them too.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    You need to bear in mind that the leaves get very tatty, before the bulbs flower, so you need to plant around them, to disguise this.

    That's what I thought. Just wasn't sure what would be best with them.

    I have issues with Alliums I have hundreds planted in a lovely loam amended south facing border. I had a grand total of 10 pop up. They are all planted deep 8-10 inches
    I dug a new rose in last week, to a depth of about a foot in depth. I found dozens and dozens of allium bulbs. Could it be the case that the border is too hot/dry and the bulbs are multiplying as opposed to flowering?
