What are your clematis successes so far this year?

Following on from my moaning about Acropolis not playing ball for me, and the vagaries of a spring that was too hot by day and too cold at night, I thought I'd be a bit more positive and ask how everyone else's clematis have faired.

My favourites have been Samaritan Jo (bought for a fiver at the same time as Acropolis), piilu, which is on our front porch in a spot that gets loadsa heat reflected back of the glass door, but catches the wind something chronic, and my hanging basket of Bijou.

The Samaritan Jo is stunning, particularly since this is its first year in its pot. It was first out of the blocks in early spring so has suffered from frosted tips and a couple of stems dying, and first to flower (8th may). Its on my patio right in front of our bifold doors (I'm looking at it now) so I can see it at all times. It reminds me a bit of huldine, in that it looks good from any angle, front or back, the sun shines through it beautifully and it seems to glow at dusk!
This pic was taken after it escaped from its support when I'd just tied it back in so it's not as tidy as it was:

OTOH the flowers on the piilu aren't to my mind as pretty individually but the whole plant is rather jolly and endearing. "Piilu" is apparently Estonian for 'little duckling" and I think the name really suits it!

Guess which way the prevailing wind is here!

One I didnt mention earlier was my Pixie. We've had this plant for maybe five years (could even be more)  and it's done nothing but sulk til last year when we put it in a chimbley pot in a very sheltered and sunny spot on the patio and I think it likes it!
I'm sorry but I turned it into a fairy grotto

After flowering I gave it a bit of a trim and a feed and it has now hit the top of the support from all directions.
