    Hello!

    I just wanted to thank everyone for the great ideas.

    Here is a progress update: I’ve gone with a collection of drought resistant plants with good structure and foliage. The plants went in the containers two weeks ago and I hope they settle in well for (or survive!) the winter. They are Cytisus scoparius (a native broom plant) rosemary, artemisia, and two varieties of euphorbia.

    I have a small garden too (just 7x7m), which will be a project for next year 😬
  • those planters are great @Molamola really suit the look of the balcony and the sorrounding buildings...look forward to seeing them in the spring!

    Good planters.  Well done.  The only thing I would say is I never got a rosemary thru a Belgian winter but maybe, as you're in town, it won't get quite as cold as open countryside near Gembloux.

    @Obelixx Thanks!

    Yes - I'm taking a bit of a risk with that one! I thought I'd see what could work with my microclimate.  There are a couple more tender evergreen plants I'd like to try on the balcony if it survives, like Acacia cognata "Limelight" (:
