Pear tree - what to do?

I have a pear tree which for the first time in years has more than 2/3 fruits growing on it, they're currently less than 1 inch in width. The tree is located at the edge of the garden and has a few branches that hang over my neighbours side. I want the fruit to be as well fed as possible. What should I do?

Q: Why do you want to remove the branches that overhang your neighbour?

Q: Re 'remove the fruit on the branches' do you mean all of them or what?

Thin each cluster to a maximum of two. That way you get less, but bigger fruit of a better quality. Start by taking out any damaged or misshapen fruit.  Make sure the tree has plenty of water.
