Chinese cabbage

Well they didn't turn out quite  how I expected.  No heart. However, these  are the most advanced two and they look healthy.
Can they be treated as cut and come again?
I hope so as I don't  think  the two of us could  manage a whole  one!

I am going to sow mine in July because they like cooler temperatures if it gets above 75 degrees F. they tend to lose there flavour, have a look on  the internet it will tell you more it doesn't mention about cut and come though.I would have thought if you cut some of leaves they might regrow,I know if you do it with other cabbages  sometimes l get some new shoots,if you like stir fries you could use some of the leaves in  that. Thanks @Peter Hewitt.  I'll put the others down the shady end of the garden. I didn't realise temperature was an issue
The biggies will be used for stir fry and salads. I'll see how they take to the snip of the seven veils😊

they will develop a heart they just are not ready yet, and yes they get big well over a kg each

Ok patience. However, then we have to eat a kilogram of it!
Any veg novices like myself out there, 100% germination and grows VERY fast
    Thank you @Skandi😊

They look more like Pak Choi rather than Chinese cabbage and they are looking good. Yes you can cut the outer leaves and it will continue to grow. I rarely let mine grow bigger than this size though. Enjoy.

    😊@skylarks I will
the stem bit ( technical term) of the leaves definitely look like cc. I bought them here. Not on the internet so I think I've got what it said on the packet. This pair are  in rich compost. The other slower ones weren't so fortunate and the ones in the ground are even slower. Just as well!

Ah, ok. I’ve only bought CC from SM and never realised the outer leaves are so green 😊

Same here. You only get the heart in supermarkets it seems.
I prefer it in coleslaw and lettuce disagrees with me so I use instead, as well as in stir fries
