Wisteria issues
I recently purchased a Chinese Wisteria, which amazing flowered virtually straight away. However one of the two branches appears to be in difficulty, the new leaves at the top of the branch have dies and dropped off, the is some new growth approximately 3 feet further down the branch, but not sure how well these are. I told to really water the plant, especially due to the lack of rain we have experienced, so I basically did virtually every day.
Any suggestions to what is happening or what to do would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
David

They like to get their roots down deep so it may just need time to do that and, in the mean time and with recent temperatures and dry weather for the last 2 months, it will need at least 5 litres a day and more depending on size.
If it's in a pot, make sure it gets plenty of water but can also drain well so it doesn't drown.
Many thanks for your prompt response. The plant is in the ground and it is very much a good draining soil, I would say that I haven't been far short of 5ltrs per day, I thought or was worried that I was giving it too much. Should I cut the branch back to where the leaves are still looking OK??
Cheers
