What is this?!

Hi! I’ve recently removed a conifer and a load of these plants were kind of hidden at the front. They haven’t flowered and I presumed they were daffodils which had come up blind but now they’ve not died off I decided to pull one up and it’s definitely not a daff! Any ideas please....

Hemorocallis maybe?  Mine will grow anywhere and would laugh in the face of a conifer!

Another alternative, might be Kniphofia, Red Hot Poker plant.
  • Thanks for your answers guys. I’m hoping they are lilies then. I already have a red hot poker and I’m not keen - messy old thing. I’m going to divide them and re-plant elsewhere and keep my fingers crossed!
