Indoor grow systems

New to this site...I would like to grow vegetables year-round inside my house and looking for recommendations for the best productive indoor grow system.  I found something on Gardeners.com, however looking for others to compare with.  Any advice is welcomed :-)

I used to grow tomatoes all winter in a sunny bay window in a DIY Earthbox style planter.  Not much fruit, but worth it for the smell.  I just rooted suckers in water in late summer, and planted them up in there.  We had fresh home grown tomatoes with Christmas dinner.. all three cherry sized ones.  I admit they didn't taste particularly sweet or anything like they did in summer.  I recommend using clear plastic boxes as it made it super easy to check the water level.

If you actually want to crop in the winter, you need a very sunny window and a grow light system set on a timer.  Certain veg will lend itself better to indoor winter growing.

What do you want to grow?
    Utah, USA.

Someone is trying this, you could ask them how it’s going and if it’s indoors.
