Hebe jeebies

Hi. I planted three Hebe Red Edge plants about a month ago along with a bunch of other plants. Everything else is doing well but all three hebes have yellow leaves on them and have lost leaves. Any idea what it is?

Thanks,

 Rich

It's normal for them to drop foliage when planted, especially in the current spell of weather many places have had. They'll take a little while to establish anyway, and those leaves will drop off, or you can remove them as they die back. I'm assuming they're in a suitable site? They're quite an easy variety, but they don't look like Red Edge to me. It has bluey foliage with red tips, hence the name.

They look quite small though, and some are near that grass. Competition for them, so make sure they've been well enough watered until established.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  • Thanks Fairygirl, that’s reassuring. You’re right-they’re not Red Edge, they went elsewhere, these are Mrs Winder. They should have enough water as I have re seeded the grass and so am watering twice a day but I’ll keep an eye on it. Thanks!
