Laburnum not flowered

Hello, we planted this Laburnum 25 years ago. Until this year it has flowered beautifully. It does have a damaged branch which we aren’t sure if it’s diseased and that’s what’s been the cause of the small dried up flowers this year! Please can you advise on what to do with our poorly tree.

    A lot of trees are struggling after several dry years and now a dry spring ... several seem not to have recovered since the long hot summer ... was it three years ago?   Although the soil surface gets wet the soil a few feet below is still very dry. 


    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
