Plant ID Please...bedding plant?

Afternoon all,
I thought this was a weed and was going to pull it all up, as it's all over one area - but is it a recognised planet rather than a weed? I'm not sure what classifies something as a bedding plant - is it some kind of general close-to-the-ground filler - and is that what this is?
Thanks in advance

I think it's a Campanula plant. Maybe Campanula Poscharskyana. They are ground hugging and spread about, especially if in favourable conditions. It's a perennial plant.

Superb plant in the right area.  Weeks and weeks of flowers and evergreen in most situations.  No care needed.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Thank you both. It sits under some shrub - I was going to pull it up in early spring as it has a really tatty look when not in flower - and an aroma that I didn't like. Now it's in flower, it's a different ballgame.
